The Creative Kitchens Way
Initial Meeting
Our meeting is set at your house. We will get acquainted, look over the space, and discuss design- including current problem areas of existing space and a wish list for the new design. Measurements will be taken along with photos. We find it extremely helpful for you, the client, to make a scrapbook of ideas and looks which are of interest. A picture is always worth a thousand words!
Design and Concept
We will take your thoughts and our measurements and put together a conceptual plan on the computer. A budget will be established. A meeting will be set within 10-14 days to review plans and preliminary elevations. At this juncture, a design retainer is required to move forward with the project. This fee is non-refundable, however, it is fully applied to the purchase price of your new kitchen.
Completion of Design & Specifications
We will review preliminary concept and develop final working drawings with complete specifications of all selections. This entails several field trips to make appliance choices. We will also select counter tops, flooring, lighting design and tile. Once all materials are selected, a contract will be signed and material orders placed.
Scheduling / Construction
A typical kitchen will take 8-12 weeks to produce in our factories. Demolition of the existing kitchen will start once your cabinetry is delivered to our local warehouse. A typical job will take 4-6 weeks to complete. The materials used, amount of preparation, drywall, electrical and plumbing are all factors in length of the installation.
Project Management
One of the most important facets we offer! The best designed and executed set of plans are never enough. We are in constant contact either via phone or with our installation specialists on site. We like to schedule weekly site meetings to stay on track with coordination and let you, the homeowner, understand what is happening and when. There will be a final walk-thru once the job is completed to your satisfaction.
